Paintbox Press, in partnership with Kids Design Collaborative, presents a new series of books to introduce kids to design and the creative professions. Design Dossier: The World of Design explains design-thinking and innovation: from brainstorming through completed project. Students will explore the basic elements of line, shape, color, pattern and composition, get an overview of ten design disciplines from fashion to animation to environmental design, see a timeline of 20th century art & design, learn tips on setting up a mini design “studio” and learn how to pursue an interest in design by beginning to create a portfolio of their work. Ages 9+.
